Community Partnerships Lead The Way
Corporate and community partnerships play a significant role providing approximately 75% of the donations needed annually.
More than 100 exemplary business and community leaders have increased donations by becoming FBS Corporate Partners, pledging
to support the blood needs “above and beyond” the standard level. Increases in blood donations have been largely due to these
excellent partnerships and their personal ‘Promise to the Community’ to encourage and provide the means for regular blood
donation and marrow testing, as an integral part of their company policies and practices.
We acknowledge the superb work of our more than 2,000 corporate and community partners who are vital in helping us fulfill
our daily needs through blood drives.

The Changing Face Of America’s Donors
Teens have become the second-largest blood donor group in Tampa Bay. While World War II veterans and their immediate families have
traditionally comprised America’s largest group of blood donors, this is rapidly changing. Therefore, we must look to – and
encourage – a new generation of donors.
Florida Blood Services celebrates our partnership with our teen heroes by hosting an annual education conference for principals,
student leaders, and faculty representatives from area high schools.
